May 16, 2011 - The Reds literally whooped the Cubs into submission in one half of an inning. In the bottom of the 6th inning Carlos Zambrano and Marcos Mateo gave up 4 singles, 1 double,1 walk, and 1 HR. The Reds burst out for seven runs in the inning. http://t.co/BwRHexJ
In the top of the eighth the Cubs threatened to score but Drew Stubbs threw a strike from center field to gun down Alfonso Soriano. http://t.co/1C1HhRj
The battery and solid defense completely took the air out the Cub's sails. Reds 1 Cubs 0 to begin the series.
Great Job Team - Lets Go Reds
On a side note: In late April I predicted that the Red Sox would be at the .500 mark by Memorial Day. I was wrong, the Red Sox got to the .500 mark this past weekend after sweeping the Yankees in a three game series. Good job Sox. For my Lish.
